DTC P1606-308: Collision Detection; DTC P1606-317: Collision Detection: Procedure

1. Check the vehicle condition.

   Result

   The vehicle is not damaged.	A
   The vehicle is damaged.	B

B → REPAIR VEHICLE 

A: Go to next step 

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
4. Check if DTCs are output.

   Result

   Result	Proceed to
   P1606 only is output.	A
   P0A1D is output.	B

5. Turn the power switch off.

B → See step   7 

A: Go to next step 

1. Troubleshoot the airbag system. Refer toHOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING .

   Result

   Result	Proceed to
   The system is normal.	A
   There is a malfunction in the system.	B

B → REPAIR MALFUNCTIONING PARTS, COMPONENT AND AREA 

A: Go to next step 

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
4. Access the freeze frame data of DTC P1606 and read the INF code.

   Result

   Result	Proceed to
   INF code 308 is output.	A
   INF code 317 is output.	B

5. Turn the power switch off.

A → See step   8 

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
4. Check if DTCs are output.

   Result

   Result	Proceed to
   When either 1 or 2 in the table below is satisfied.	A
   When both 1 and 2 in the table below are satisfied.	B

   	DTC Output Status
   1	DTC P3107-213 or P3107-214 is output.
   2	DTC U0151-763 is output.

5. Turn the power switch off.
