DTC P0AC0-817: Hybrid Battery Pack Current Sensor Circuit Range / Performance: Procedure

  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HV) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
    4. Check if DTCs are output.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      P0AC0-817 only is output. A
      P0A1F-123 is also output. B
    5. Turn the power switch off.

    B → See step   7 

    A: Go to next step 

  2. REPLACE HYBRID BATTERY JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Replace the hybrid battery junction block assembly. Refer toCOMPONENTS .

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  3. CLEAR DTC (HV) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
    4. Read and record the DTCs and freeze frame data.
    5. Clear DTCs and freeze frame data.
    6. Turn the power switch off.

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  4. PERFORM ROAD TEST 
    1. Perform a road test.

    NEXT: Go to next step 

  5. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HV) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
    4. Check if DTCs are output.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      P0AC0-817 is not output. A
      P0AC0-817 is output again. B
    5. Turn the power switch off.

    B → See step   6 

    A → COMPLETED 

  6. REPLACE BATTERY SMART UNIT. Refer to COMPONENTS 
  7. GO TO DTC CHART. Refer to DTC P0A1F-123: Battery Energy Control Module
