DTC P0A10-263: DC / DC Converter Status Circuit High Input: Procedure

  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HV) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
    4. Check if DTCs are output.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTC P0A10-263 only is output. A
      Other DTCs are also output. B
    5. Turn the power switch off.

    B → See step   6 

    A: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU (NODD) 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to wear insulated gloves.

    1. Check that the service plug grip is not installed.
      NOTE:

      After removing the service plug grip, do not turn the power switch on (READY), unless instructed by the repair service information because this may cause a malfunction.

    2. Disconnect connector z17 from the hybrid vehicle converter.

    3. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      HINT: 

      Turning the power switch on (IG) with the service plug grip removed causes interlock switch system DTC P0A0D- 350 to be output.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      z17-2 (NODD) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) Below 1 V

    5. Turn the power switch off.
    6. Connect the hybrid vehicle converter connector.

    NG → See step   3 

    OK → See step   4 

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU - HYBRID VEHICLE CONVERTER) 
    WARNING:

    Be sure to wear insulated gloves.

    1. Check that the service plug grip is not installed.
      NOTE:

      After removing the service plug grip, do not turn the power switch on (READY), unless instructed by the repair service information because this may cause a malfunction.

    2. Disconnect connector A58 from the hybrid vehicle control ECU.
    3. Disconnect connector z17 from the hybrid vehicle converter.
    4. Turn the power switch on (IG).
    5. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      HINT: 

      Turning the power switch on (IG) with the service plug grip removed causes interlock switch system DTC P0A0D- 350 to be output.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      A58-75 (NODD) or z17-2 (NODD) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) Below 1 V

      (to Hybrid Vehicle Converter)
      NOTE:

      Turning the power switch on (IG) with the hybrid vehicle control ECU connector and the hybrid vehicle converter connector disconnected causes other DTCs to be stored. Clear the DTCs after performing this inspection.

    6. Turn the power switch off.
    7. Connect the hybrid vehicle converter connector.
    8. Connect the hybrid vehicle control ECU connector.

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK → See step   5 

  4. REPLACE HYBRID VEHICLE CONVERTER. Refer to COMPONENTS 
  5. REPLACE HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU. Refer to COMPONENTS 
  6. GO TO DTC CHART. Refer to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART
