HEADUP Display Switch: Inspection: Inspection

  1. INSPECT HEADUP DISPLAY SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      1 (NVM) - 4 (E) NAVI main switch is pressed 1782 to 1818 Ω
      NAVI main switch is not pressed 10 kΩ or higher
      HUD position up switch is pressed 811.8 to 828.2 Ω
      HUD position up switch is not pressed 10 kΩ or higher
      HUD position down switch is pressed 326.7 to 333.3 Ω
      HUD position down switch is not pressed 10 kΩ or higher
      7 (CH) - 4 (E) HUD main switch is pressed 1782 to 1818 Ω
      HUD main switch is not pressed 10 kΩ or higher
      HUD contrast up switch is pressed 811.8 to 828.2 Ω
      HUD contrast up switch is not pressed 10 kΩ or higher
      HUD contrast down switch is pressed 326.7 to 333.3 Ω
      HUD contrast down switch is not pressed 10 kΩ or higher
    2. Apply battery voltage from the wire harness back side between the terminals of the switch, and check the lighting condition of the headup display switch assembly.

      OK

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Battery positive (+) → 5 (ILL+)
      Battery negative (-) → 3 (ILL-)
      Always Headup display switch assembly illumination comes on
      TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

      *1 Component without harness connected
      (Headup Display Switch Assembly)

      If the value is not as specified, replace the headup display switch assembly. Refer to REMOVAL .
