Luggage Room Light Circuit: Procedure
- PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM
- Select the ACTIVE TEST, use the Techstream to generate a control command, and then check that the room light (luggage) illuminates.BODY NO. 3 (COWL SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ECU LH)

OK → PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
- Select the ACTIVE TEST, use the Techstream to generate a control command, and then check that the room light (luggage) illuminates.
- INSPECT FUSE (RR-B)
- Remove the RR-B fuse from the No. 1 junction block assembly.
- Measure the resistance of the fuse.
Standard resistance
Below 1 Ω
NG → REPLACE FUSE
OK: Go to next step
- REPLACE ROOM LIGHT (LUGGAGE)
- Temporarily replace the room light (luggage) with a new or normally functioning one.
- Turn the room light switch ON.
- Check that the light illuminates.
OK
Room light illuminates.
OK → END
NG: Go to next step
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (COWL SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ECU LH - BATTERY)
- Disconnect the V3 ECU connector.
- Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.
Standard voltage

NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- INSPECT LUGGAGE DOOR CLOSER (LUGGAGE DOOR COURTESY SWITCH)
Inspection. Refer to INSPECTION
OK
Luggage door closer (luggage door courtesy switch) is normal.
NG → REPLACE LUGGAGE DOOR CLOSER
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (COWL SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ECU LH - LUGGAGE DOOR CLOSER - BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the V3 ECU connector.
- Disconnect the Y5 closer connector.
- Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard resistance
Tester Connection Specified Condition V3-8 (CCTY) - Y5-4 (CTY) Below 1 Ω V3-8 (CCTY) or Y5-4 (CTY) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher Y5-3 (E) - Body ground Below 1 Ω
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK → PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
