DTC C193D: Malfunction in Front Active Stabilizer Control ECU Local CAN Transmission: Procedure
- INSPECT ACTIVE STABILIZER BATTERY CURRENT SENSOR
- Turn the engine switch off.
- Disconnect the E active stabilizer battery current sensor connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 2 (BSV) - 4 (BSG) Always 3 to 10 kΩ 2 (BSV) - 3 (BSC) Always Below 0.5 kΩ 3 (BSC) - 4 (BSG) Always 3 to 10 kΩ 1 (BST) - 4 (BSG) Always 1.5 to 2.5 kΩ
NG → REPLACE ACTIVE STABILIZER BATTERY CURRENT SENSOR
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ECU - ACTIVE STABILIZER BATTERY CURRENT SENSOR)
- Disconnect the z10 rear active stabilizer control ECU connector.
- Disconnect the E active stabilizer battery current sensor connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition z10-4 (BSC) - E-3 (BSC) Always Below 1 Ω z10-4 (BSC) or E-3 (BSC) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher z10-3 (BSV) - E-2 (BSV) Always Below 1 Ω z10-3 (BSV) or E-2 (BSV) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher z10-6 (BSG) - E-4 (BSG) Always Below 1 Ω z10-6 (BSG) or E-4 (BSG) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher z10-5 (BST) - E-1 (BST) Always Below 1 Ω z10-5 (BST) or E-1 (BST) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step

- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition A49-1 (LCN+) - A49-8 (LCN-) Engine switch off 54 to 69 Ω A49-2 (CANH) - A49-3 (CANL)
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step

- Disconnect the e1 rear active stabilizer control ECU connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition e1-1 (LCN+) - e1-8 (LCN-) Engine switch off 54 to 69 Ω e1-2 (CANH) - e1-3 (CANL)
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step

- Disconnect the A23 power steering ECU connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition A23-1 (CAN+) - A23-8 (CAN-) Engine switch off 54 to 69 Ω
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step

- Disconnect the A40 steering control ECU connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition A40-4 (CAN+) - A40-9 (CAN-) Engine switch off 54 to 69 Ω
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK OPERATION OF FRONT ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ECU
- Turn the engine switch off.
- Exchange the front active stabilizer control ECU with the rear active stabilizer control ECU.
- Connect Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the engine switch on (IG) and press the Techstream main switch ON.
- Clear the DTC. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
- Check for DTC.RESULT
Result Proceed to DTC C1916 is output A DTC is not output B
A → CHECK INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS

- REPLACE FRONT ACTIVE STABILIZER CONTROL ECU. Refer to REMOVAL
