Headlight Assembly: Disassembly: Disassembly

  1. REMOVE NO. 1 HEADLIGHT BACK COVER 
    1. Release the set spring as shown in the illustration.

    2. Disengage the 2 guides and remove the No. 1 headlight back cover.
  2. REMOVE NO. 1 HEADLIGHT COVER GASKET 
    1. Remove the No. 1 headlight cover gasket.
      NOTE:

      After the No. 1 headlight cover gasket is removed, be sure to replace it with a new one. Failure to do this may cause water ingress.

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 HEADLIGHT BULB (for Halogen Headlight) 
    1. Disconnect the connector.
    2. Remove the No. 1 headlight bulb as shown in the illustration.

  4. REMOVE DISCHARGE HEADLIGHT BULB (for HID Headlight) 
    1. Separate the light control ECU socket as shown in the illustration.

    2. Release the set spring in the order shown in the illustration and remove the discharge headlight bulb.

  5. REMOVE NO. 2 HEADLIGHT BACK COVER 
    1. Release the set spring as shown in the illustration.

    2. Disengage the 2 guides and remove the No. 2 headlight back cover.
  6. REMOVE NO. 2 HEADLIGHT COVER GASKET 
    1. Remove the No. 2 headlight cover gasket.
      NOTE:

      After the No. 2 headlight cover gasket is removed, be sure to replace it with a new one. Failure to do this may cause water ingress.

  7. REMOVE NO. 2 HEADLIGHT BULB 
    1. Disconnect the connector.

    2. Remove the No. 2 headlight bulb as shown in the illustration.
  8. REMOVE PARKING LIGHT BULB 
    1. Turn the parking light bulb and parking light socket in the direction indicated by the arrow and remove them as a unit.

    2. Remove the parking light bulb from the parking light socket.
  9. REMOVE PARKING LIGHT SOCKET 
    1. Disconnect the connector and remove the parking light socket.
  10. REMOVE FRONT TURN SIGNAL LIGHT BULB 
    1. Turn the 2 front turn signal light bulbs and headlight cord in the direction indicated by the arrow and remove them as a unit.

    2. Remove the 2 front turn signal light bulbs from the headlight cord.
  11. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER SIDE SUPPORT 
    1. Remove the 3 screws and front bumper side support.

  12. REMOVE HEADLIGHT LEVELING MOTOR (for HID Headlight) 
    1. Disconnect the connector.

    2. Align the notches of the headlight leveling motor and the housing, and pull out the headlight leveling motor slightly.

      HINT: 

      For the headlight leveling motor RH, rotate it opposite to the direction of the arrow shown in the illustration.

    3. Pull up the tip of the headlight leveling motor to disengage it from the reflector and remove the headlight leveling motor.

  13. REMOVE HEADLIGHT LEVELING MOTOR BASE PACKING (for HID Headlight) 
    1. Remove the headlight leveling motor base packing.
      NOTE:

      After the headlight leveling motor base packing is removed, be sure to replace it with a new one. Failure to do this may cause water ingress.

  14. REMOVE HEADLIGHT PROTECTOR (for HID Headlight) 
    1. Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the "TORX" bolt.

    2. Disengage the claw and remove the headlight protector.
