FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION ARM (for 2WD): Removal: Removal

HINT:

Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.
The following procedure listed below is for the LH side.

REMOVE FRONT WHEEL
SEPARATE FRONT SPEED SENSOR See step 2
SEPARATE TIE ROD ASSEMBLY . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 8
SEPARATE HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR LINK ASSEMBLY See step 4
SEPARATE FRONT SHOCK ABSORBER WITH COIL SPRING
1. Loosen the nut while holding the bolt.

  NOTE:
  Do not remove the bolt.
2. Separate the lower part of the front shock absorber from the front lower suspension arm.
REMOVE FRONT STABILIZER LINK ASSEMBLY See step 5
REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER
REMOVE FRONT LOWER SUSPENSION ARM
1. Support the front suspension crossmember with a transmission jack.

  NOTE:
  Be sure to place a wooden block between the front suspension crossmember and transmission jack.
2. Remove the 2 bolts from the front lower ball joint.

3. Loosen the nut of the lower No. 2 arm bracket assembly.

  NOTE:
  Do not remove the nut.
4. Remove the bolt, washer, and nut from the front of the front lower suspension arm.

5. Remove the 4 bolts, side rail plate, and front lower suspension arm with the lower No. 2 arm bracket assembly.

REMOVE FRONT LOWER BALL JOINT See step 3
REMOVE LOWER NO. 2 ARM BRACKET ASSEMBLY
1. Remove the nut, washer, and lower No. 2 arm bracket assembly from the front lower suspension arm.
