Luggage Compartment Door Opener Switch Circuit: Procedure

  1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (LUGGAGE DOOR OPENER SWITCH) 
    1. Check the Data List for proper functioning of the luggage door opener switch.
      Tester Display Measurement Item/Range Normal Condition Diagnostic Note
      Lugg Open Luggage door opener switch / ON or OFF ON: Luggage door opener switch is pushed
      OFF: Luggage door opener switch is not pushed
      -

      OK

      "ON" (luggage door opener switch is pushed) appears on the screen.

    NG → See step   5 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (LUGGAGE DOOR OPENING CANCEL SWITCH) 
    1. Check the Data List for proper functioning of the luggage door opening cancel switch.
      Tester Display Measurement Item/Range Normal Condition Diagnostic Note
      Trunk Main SW Luggage door opening cancel switch / ON or OFF ON: Luggage door opening cancel switch is pushed
      OFF: Luggage door opening cancel switch is not pushed
      -

      OK

      "ON" (luggage door opening cancel switch is pushed) appears on the screen.

    NG → See step   3 

    OK → PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 

  3. INSPECT LUGGAGE DOOR OPENING CANCEL SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the luggage door opening cancel switch.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1 (L) - 2 (B) Pushed Below 1 Ω
      1 (L) - 2 (B) Not pushed 10 kΩ or higher

    NG → REPLACE LUGGAGE DOOR OPENING CANCEL SWITCH ASSEMBLY 

    OK: Go to next step 

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (CANCEL SWITCH - BODY ECU AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the K68 ECU connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      K60-2 (B) - K68-2 (TSW) Always Below 1 Ω
      K60-2 (B) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      K60-1 (L) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK → REPLACE MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU (COWL SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ECU RH)) 

  5. INSPECT LUGGAGE DOOR OPENING SWITCH ASSEMBLY (LUGGAGE DOOR OPENER SWITCH) 
    1. Remove the luggage door opening switch. Refer to REMOVAL .

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      3 (L) - 4 (B) Pushed Below 1 Ω
      3 (L) - 4 (B) Not pushed 10 kΩ or higher

    NG → See step   7 

    OK: Go to next step 

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (OPENING SWITCH - BODY ECU AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the K67 ECU connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      K92-4 (B) - K67-21 (TKUL) Always Below 1 Ω
      K92-4 (B) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      K92-3 (L) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK → REPLACE MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU (COWL SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ECU RH)) 

  7. REPLACE LUGGAGE DOOR OPENING SWITCH ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL
