How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

HINT: 

• Use these procedures to troubleshoot the luggage compartment door opener and closer system.
• *: Use the Techstream.

1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP 

   NEXT: Go to next step 

2. INSPECT COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (BEAN)* 
   1. Using the Techstream, check for normal functioning of the Multiplex Communication System (MPX).

      Result

      MPX DTC is not output	A
      MPX DTC is output	B

      B → Go to  MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM  or  MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM 

      A: Go to next step 

3. PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 

   Result

   Fault is not listed in problem symptoms table	A
   Fault is listed in problem symptoms table	B

   B → Go to step   6 

   A: Go to next step 

4. CHECK FOR DTC* 
   1. Check for DTC and note any codes that are output.
   2. Delete DTC.
   3. Recheck DTC.

5. OVERALL ANALYSIS AND TROUBLESHOOTING* 
   1. DATA LIST/ACTIVE TEST. Refer to DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST 
   2. Terminals of ECU. Refer to TERMINALS OF ECU 
   3. On-vehicle Inspection. Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION 
   4. Inspection
      1. Luggage door opening cancel switch. Refer to INSPECTION
      2. Luggage compartment door striker. Refer to INSPECTION
      3. Luggage compartment door closer. Refer to INSPECTION
      4. Luggage door opening switch (luggage door opener switch). Refer to INSPECTION

      NEXT: Go to next step 

6. REPAIR OR REPLACE 

   NEXT: Go to next step 

7. CONFIRMATION TEST 

   NEXT → END
