Only Front Switch Cannot Operate Rear Sunshade: Procedure

  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT 
    1. Check for DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .
      RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      No DTC is output A
      DTC U1114 is output B
      DTC U1127 is output C

    C → See step   5 

    B → See step   4 

    A: Go to next step 

  2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (REAR SUNSHADE SWITCH) 
    1. Use the Data List to check if the rear sunshade switch is functioning properly.
      CENTER CONSOLE SWITCH

      Tester Display Measurement Item/Range Normal Condition Diagnostic Note
      Rear Shade Switch Rear sunshade switch / ON or OFF ON: Rear sunshade switch is pressed
      OFF: Rear sunshade switch is not pressed
      -

      OK

      Rear sunshade raises or lowers.

    NG → See step   3 

    OK → See step   6 

  3. INSPECT NO. 2 CONSOLE SWITCH 
    1. Disconnect the No. 2 console switch connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      8 - 12 Rear sunshade switch is pushed Below 200 Ω
      8 - 12 Rear sunshade switch is not pushed 10 kΩ or higher

    NG → See step   7 

    OK → See step   8 

  4. GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM. Refer to  DTC U1114: Lost Communication with Main Switch Module 
  5. GO TO LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM. Refer to  DTC U1127: Lost Communication with Center Console Switch ECU 
  6. REPLACE NO. 1 CONSOLE SWITCH. Refer to  REMOVAL 
  7. REPLACE NO. 2 CONSOLE SWITCH. Refer to  REMOVAL 
  8. REPLACE NO. 1 CONSOLE SWITCH. Refer to  REMOVAL
