Luggage Door Hinge Torsion Bar: Removal

  1. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR HINGE COVER LH 
    1. Remove the 3 clips and door hinge cover.

  2. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR HINGE COVER RH 
    1. Remove the 3 clips and door hinge cover.

  3. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT MAT SUB-ASSEMBLY

  4. REMOVE ROPE HOOK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 4 bolts and 4 rope hooks.

  5. REMOVE ROPE HOOK 
    1. Remove the 4 rope hooks by pushing the claws in the direction of the arrows in the illustration.

  6. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD RH 
    1. Remove the clip.
    2. Remove the side deck trim.

  7. REMOVE DECK TRIM SIDE BOARD LH 
    1. Remove the clip.
    2. Remove the side deck trim.

  8. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LIGHT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the light assembly.

  9. REMOVE NO. 2 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM HOOK (w/o Rear Cooler) 
    1. Detach the 2 trim hooks.
  10. REMOVE NO. 1 COOLER COVER (w/ Rear Cooler)  (See REMOVAL )
  11. REMOVE FRONT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER 
    1. w/o Rear Cooler:
      1. Remove the 4 claws, 3 clips and trim.

    2. w/ Rear Cooler:
      1. Remove the 4 claws, 5 clips and trim.

  12. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE 
    1. Remove the 3 clips.
    2. Detach the 4 clips and remove the finish plate.

  13. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER ASSEMBLY LH 
    1. Remove the 2 clips.
    2. Detach the claw and luggage compartment trim cover.

  14. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Remove the 2 clips.
    2. Detach the claw and luggage compartment trim cover.

  15. REMOVE LUGGAGE DOOR HINGE TORSION BAR RH 
    1. Detach the 3 clips and luggage door wire.

    2. Remove the luggage door hinge torsion bar RH from the body LH side as shown in the illustration.

    3. Using SST, disconnect the luggage door hinge torsion bar RH from the luggage door hinge and body RH side as shown in the illustration.

      SST 09804-24010

    4. Disconnect the luggage door hinge torsion bar RH from the luggage compartment door torsion bar support as shown in the illustration.

  16. REMOVE LUGGAGE DOOR HINGE TORSION BAR LH 
    1. Remove the luggage door hinge torsion bar LH from the body RH side as shown in the illustration.

    2. Using SST, disconnect the luggage door hinge torsion bar LH from the luggage door hinge and body RH side as shown in the illustration.

      SST 09804-24010

    3. Disconnect the luggage door hinge torsion bar LH from the luggage compartment door torsion bar support as shown in the illustration.

  17. REMOVE NO. 2 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR TORSION BAR SUPPORT 
    1. Remove the luggage compartment door torsion bar support.
