Meter Illumination does not Dim at Night: Procedure

  1. CHECK DTC 
    1. Check if DTC B1244 is output. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      B1244 is not output A
      B1244 is output B

    B → GO TO LIGHTING SYSTEM 

    A: Go to next step 

  2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (DIMMER SIGNAL) 
    1. Connect Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the tester ON.
    4. Turn the light control rheostat to the TAIL or HEAD position.
    5. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Active Test.
    6. Check the meter illumination.
      MAIN BODY:

      Tester Display Test Part Normal Condition Diagnostic Note
      Dimmer Signal Dimmer signal Dimmer signal is ON/OFF -

      OK

      The meter illumination is dimmed when the dimmer signal is ON.

      HINT: 

      Refer to the sensitivity setting in the customization table of the automatic light control system.. Refer to CUSTOMIZE PARAMETERS

    NG → See step   3 

    OK → CHECK LIGHTING SETTING 

  3. REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY 

    OK

    The operation of the combination meter assembly returns to normal.

    NG → REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU RH 

    OK → END
