DTC B2000: Short to B+ in Seat Belt Motor RH Circuit: Procedure

  1. INSPECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Disconnect the P8 connector of the front seat outer belt assembly RH.

    2. Turn the engine switch to on (IG).
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P8-1 - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) Below 1 V
      P8-2 - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) Below 1 V
    4. Reconnect the P8 connector of the front seat outer belt assembly RH.

    NG → See step   4 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH - SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU) 
    1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
      WARNING:

      Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.

    2. Disconnect the P8 connector of the front seat outer belt assembly RH.
    3. Disconnect the Q58 connector of the seat belt control ECU.
    4. Connect the negative (-) terminal to the battery.
    5. Turn the engine switch to on (IG).

    6. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P8-1 - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) Below 1 V
      P8-2 - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) Below 1 V
    7. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
    8. Reconnect the Q58 connector of the seat belt control ECU and P8 connector of the front seat outer belt assembly RH.
    9. Connect the negative (-) battery terminal.

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH - SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU) 

    OK → See step   3 

  3. REPLACE SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU. Refer to  REMOVAL 
  4. REPLACE FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH. Refer to  REMOVAL
