DTC P2797-865: Auxiliary Transmission Fluid Pump Control Performance: Procedure
- CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HV)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Select the following menu items: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
- Check if DTCs are output.
Result
DTC No. Relevant Diagnosis P2797-895 OPM driver circuit
YES → GO TO DTC CHART
NO: Go to next step
- CHECK FREEZE FRAME DATA
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Select the following menu items: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
- Read output DTCs.
- Read the freeze frame data (auxiliary battery voltage) of P2797-865.
Result
+B is 10 V or more.
NG → CHECK AUXILIARY BATTERY
OK: Go to next step
- CLEAR DTC
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Select the following menu items: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
- Read output DTCs.
- Read the freeze frame data.
- Select the following menu items: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
- Clear the DTCs.
NEXT: Go to next step
- CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HV)
- Check if the DTC is output several seconds (approximately 3 seconds) after the power switch is turned on (IG) or the ST-on state occurs.

- Check if the DTC is output several seconds (approximately 3 seconds) after the power switch is turned on (IG) or the ST-on state occurs.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU - OIL PUMP MOTOR CONTROLLER)
- Turn the power switch off.
- Disconnect connector A54 from the hybrid vehicle control ECU.
- Disconnect connector A55 from the oil pump motor controller.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage
Tester Connection Specified Condition OPM1 (A54-3) or SI (A55-6) - Body ground Below 1 V NOTE:Turning the power switch on (IG) with the hybrid vehicle control ECU connector disconnected causes other DTCs to be stored. Clear the DTCs after performing this inspection.
- Turn the power switch off.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
Tester Connection Specified Condition OPM1 (A54-3) - SI (A55-6) Below 1 Ω - Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance
Tester Connection Specified Condition OPM1 (A54-3) - Body ground 10 kΩ or more
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU
- Connect the connector to the hybrid vehicle control ECU.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance

- CHECK OIL PUMP MOTOR CONTROLLER
- Turn the power switch off.
- Disconnect connector A54 from the hybrid vehicle control ECU.
- Connect the connector to the oil pump motor controller.
- Remove the OIL PMP relay from the engine room R/B No. 1.
- Apply battery voltage (12 V) directly to the 3 terminals of the relay block holder for the OIL PMP relay.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
