DTC P2519-766: A/C Request "A" Circuit: Procedure
- CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HV)
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Select the following menu items: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
- Check if DTCs are output.
Result
DTC P0AE6-225 is also output.
YES → GO TO INSPECTION PROCEDURE RELEVANT TO OUTPUT DTC
NO: Go to next step
- CHECK BATTERY SMART UNIT WARNING:
Be sure to wear insulated gloves.
- Turn the power switch off and remove the service plug grip. Refer to PRECAUTION

NOTE:After removing the service plug grip, do not turn the power switch on (READY), unless instructed by the repair service information because this may cause a malfunction.
- Connect an oscilloscope between the battery smart unit terminals specified in the table below, and measure the waveform.

The waveform appears as shown in the illustration.
HINT:
- For the removal and installation procedures related to inspection of the waveform of the battery smart unit. Refer to COMPONENTS .
- The frequency of the waveform differs according to operation conditions of the cooling fan of the hybrid vehicle converter.
OK → See step 5
NG: Go to next step
- Turn the power switch off and remove the service plug grip. Refer to PRECAUTION
.
- CHECK BATTERY SMART UNIT WARNING:
Be sure to wear insulated gloves.
- Turn the power switch off.
- Check that the service plug grip is not installed.
- Disconnect connector N1 from the hybrid vehicle converter.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage
Tester Connection Specified Condition IDH (N1-5) - Body ground 10 to 14 V
OK → See step 6
NG: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BATTERY SMART UNIT - HYBRID VEHICLE CONVERTER) WARNING:
Be sure to wear insulated gloves.
- Turn the power switch off.
- Check that the service plug grip is not installed.
- Disconnect connector N2 from the battery smart unit.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard voltage
Tester Connection Specified Condition IDH (N2-4) - Body ground Below 1 V NOTE:Turning the power switch on (IG) with the battery smart unit connector disconnected causes other DTCs to be stored. Clear the DTCs after performing this inspection.
- Turn the power switch off.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance (Check for open)
Tester Connection Specified Condition IDH (N2-4) - IDH (N1-5) Below 1 Ω Standard resistance (Check for short)
Tester Connection Specified Condition IDH (N2-4) or IDH (N1-5) - Body ground 10 kΩ or more
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK → See step 5
- REPLACE BATTERY SMART UNIT. Refer to COMPONENTS
- REPLACE HYBRID VEHICLE CONVERTER. Refer to COMPONENTS
