Instrument Panel Safety Pad: Installation: Installation

  1. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 5 clips to install the instrument panel safety pad sub-assembly.
    2. Connect the connectors and clamps.
    3. Install the 2 bolts to the passenger airbag.

      Torque: 20 N*m ( 204 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf) 

    4. Install the 4 bolts, nut and 2 clips.
    5. Install the center junction block RH and LH with the 4 nuts.

    6. w/ Navigation system:

      Install the navigation ECU.

      1. Connect the connector.
      2. Install the ECU with the 3 bolts.
  2. INSTALL MULTI-DISPLAY WITH RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 3
  3. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH LH  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 25
  4. INSTALL FRONT PILLAR GARNISH RH  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 26
  5. INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 2 clips and claw to install the glove compartment door sub-assembly.

    2. Connect the connector and clamp.
    3. Install the 4 screws.
  6. INSTALL FRONT PASSENGER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 1
  7. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the connector and clamp.

    2. Engage the 4 clips to install the No. 2 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly.
  8. INSTALL INTEGRATION CONTROL AND PANEL ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the connector.

    2. Engage the 2 claws to install the integration control and panel assembly.
    3. Install the 2 screws.
  9. INSTALL DRIVER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 1
  10. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the connector.

    2. Install the hood lock control cable to the safety pad.
    3. Engage the 3 clips and 5 claws to install the No. 1 instrument panel safety pad sub-assembly.
  11. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the connectors.

    2. Engage the 3 claws to install the No. 1 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly.
    3. Install the 2 screws.
  12. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH 
    1. Engage the 2 claws and 4 clips to install the instrument side panel LH.

  13. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL RH 
    1. Engage the 2 claws and 4 clips to install the instrument side panel RH.

  14. INSTALL COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the connector.

    2. Install the combination meter assembly with the 4 screws.
  15. INSTALL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the connector.

    2. Engage the 5 clips to install the instrument cluster finish panel sub-assembly.
  16. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the connector.

    2. Install the console box assembly with the 4 bolts and 2 screws.
  17. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX REGISTER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 4 clips to install the console box register assembly.

  18. INSTALL CONSOLE BOX PLATE 
    1. Connect the connector.

    2. Engage the 4 clips to install the console box plate.
  19. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH 
    1. Engage the 4 clips and 3 claws to install the instrument panel finish panel end LH.

    2. Install the screw.
  20. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END RH 
    1. Engage the 3 clips and 3 claws to install the instrument panel finish panel end RH.

    2. Install the screw.
  21. INSTALL CONSOLE UPPER PANEL ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the connector.

    2. Engage the 9 clips to install the console upper panel assembly.
    3. Install the shift lever knob and turn it in the direction indicated by the arrow.

  22. INSTALL FRONT CONSOLE UPPER PANEL GARNISH 
    1. Engage the claws to install the front console upper panel garnish.
  23. INSTALL HEADLIGHT DIMMER SWITCH ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 1
  24. INSTALL WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 1
  25. INSTALL SPIRAL CABLE WITH STEERING SENSOR  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 1
  26. INSTALL UPPER STEERING COLUMN COVER 

    for 2GR-FSE:. Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 9

    for 1UR-FSE:. Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 10

  27. INSTALL LOWER STEERING COLUMN COVER 

    for 2GR-FSE:. Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 9

    for 1UR-FSE:. Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 10

  28. INSTALL STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY 

    for 2GR-FSE:. Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 11

  29. INSTALL STEERING PAD  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 1
  30. INSTALL LOWER NO. 3 STEERING WHEEL COVER  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 2
  31. INSTALL LOWER NO. 2 STEERING WHEEL COVER  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 3
  32. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER LH  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 27
  33. INSTALL FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM COVER RH  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 28
  34. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 29
  35. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH  . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 30
  36. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Refer to INITIALIZATION .

  37. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT 
    1. Inspect the SRS warning light Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM .
