Combination Meter: Removal: Removal

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Refer to INITIALIZATION .

  2. REMOVE UPPER STEERING COLUMN COVER 

    for 2GR-FSE:. Refer to REMOVAL - Step 17

    for 1UR-FSE:. Refer to REMOVAL - Step 17

  3. REMOVE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 5 clips.

      HINT: 

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Remove the instrument cluster finish panel sub-assembly and then disconnect the connector.
  4. REMOVE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the 4 screws.

    2. Disconnect the connector and remove the combination meter assembly.
  5. REMOVE COMBINATION METER GLASS 
    1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 2 claws and open the cover.

      HINT: 

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Disconnect the 3 connectors.

    3. Disengage the 7 claws and remove the glass.
