Meter Illumination is Always Dark: Procedure

1. Check if CAN communication DTC is output . Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM .

   Result

   CAN communication DTC is not output.	A
   CAN communication DTC is output.	B . Refer to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART

B → GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM 

A: Go to next step 

1. Check if DTC B1244 is output . Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR .

   B1244 is not output	A
   B1244 is output	B . Refer to DTC B1244: Light Sensor Circuit Malfunction

B → GO TO LIGHTING SYSTEM 

A: Go to next step 

1. Connect Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
3. Turn the tester ON.
4. Turn the light control rheostat to the TAIL or HEAD position.
5. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Active Test.
6. Check the meter illumination.
   MAIN BODY:

   OK

   The meter illumination is dimmed when the dimmer signal is ON.

   HINT: 

   Refer to the sensitivity setting in the customization table of the lighting system . Refer to CUSTOMIZE PARAMETERS .

NG → See step   4 

OK → CHECK LIGHTING SETTING 

1. Replace the combination meter assembly with a new or a normal one.

   OK

   The operation of the combination meter assembly returns to normal.

NG → REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU 

OK → END
