Inspection Procedure

1. Connect the oscilloscope to the HV control ECU terminals specified in the table below and check the waveform.
   HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU
   
   

   Item	Contents
   Terminal	ABFS (H29-8) - E1 (H31-5)
   Equipment	Setting 5 V/DIV, 500 ms/DIV
   Condition	READY-on state

   OK: 

   The waveform appears as shown in the illustration. 

NG: Go to step   3 

OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 

1. Turn the ignition switch off.
2. Disconnect the all connectors from the HV control ECU.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance 

   HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU
   
   

   Tester Connection	Specified Condition
   ABFS (H29-8) - +B (H31-2)	13k to 17kΩ at 20°C (68°F)

NG: REPLACE HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU 

OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 

1. Turn the ignition switch off.
2. Connect the H29 connector to the HV control ECU.
3. Disconnect the A20 connector from the airbag sensor assembly center.
4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below when the ignition switch is in the ON position.

   Standard Voltage 

   HV CONTROL ECU - AIR BAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY CENTER (VOLTAGE)
   
   

   Tester Connection	Specified Condition
   ABFS (H29-8) - Body ground	Below 1 V

5. Turn the ignition switch off.
6. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance 

   HV CONTROL ECU - AIR BAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY CENTER (RESISTANCE)
   
   

   Tester Connection	Specified Condition
   ABFS (H29-8) - GSW2 (A20-25)	Below 1 Ω

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

OK: REPLACE AIR BAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY CENTER
