Inspection Procedure

- READ OUTPUT DTC (HV)
- Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
- Select the following menu items: DIAGNOSIS / OBD/ MOBD / HV ECU / DTC INFO / CURRENT CODES.
- Read output DTCs. (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR
)
Result:
DTCs other than P3000-388, P3000-389, and P0AF8 are output.
YES: GO TO DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART
NO: GO TO NEXT STEP
- CHECK AMOUNT OF GASOLINE
- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position. Check the amount of fuel with the fuel gauge in the meter.
OK:
Proper amount of fuel is in the tank.
NG: REFUEL GASOLINE
OK: GO TO NEXT STEP
- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position. Check the amount of fuel with the fuel gauge in the meter.
- CHECK ENGINE START
- Put the vehicle into the READY-on state. Check if the engine starts.
OK:
The engine starts.
NO: REPLACE HV BATTERY
YES: LEAVE VEHICLE IN P POSITION, AND CHARGE HV BATTERY IN IDLE STATUS UNTIL IDLING STOPS
- Put the vehicle into the READY-on state. Check if the engine starts.
