Inspection Procedure

NOTE:
- When troubleshooting the oil pump w/ motor assembly, check for the following conditions:
- ATF temperature inside the oil cooler is 5°C (41°F) or more.
- Value of the ambient temperature sensor is 5°C (41°F) or more.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HV CONTROL ECU - OIL PUMP W/ MOTOR ASSEMBLY)
- Disconnect the H34 HV control ECU connector.
- Disconnect the oil pump w/ motor assembly connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
HV CONTROL ECU - OIL PUMP W/ MOTOR ASSEMBLYTester Connection Specified Condition OPST (H34-7) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: GO TO NEXT STEP
- INSPECT OIL PUMP W/ MOTOR ASSEMBLY
- Disconnect the O9 oil pump w/ motor assembly connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
OIL PUMP W/ MOTOR ASSEMBLYTester Connection Specified Condition STAT (O9-2) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher
NG: REPLACE OIL PUMP W/ MOTOR ASSEMBLY
OK: REPLACE HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU
