Inspection Procedure

NOTE:
  • When troubleshooting the oil pump w/ motor assembly, check for the following conditions:
    • ATF temperature inside the oil cooler is 5°C (41°F) or more.
    • Value of the ambient temperature sensor is 5°C (41°F) or more.
  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HV CONTROL ECU - OIL PUMP W/ MOTOR ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the H34 HV control ECU connector.
    2. Disconnect the oil pump w/ motor assembly connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance 

      HV CONTROL ECU - OIL PUMP W/ MOTOR ASSEMBLY

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      OPST (H34-7) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 

  2. INSPECT OIL PUMP W/ MOTOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the O9 oil pump w/ motor assembly connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance 

      OIL PUMP W/ MOTOR ASSEMBLY

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      STAT (O9-2) - Body ground 10 kΩ or higher

    NG: REPLACE OIL PUMP W/ MOTOR ASSEMBLY 

    OK: REPLACE HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU
