How To Proceed With Troubleshooting

- CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS
- Interview the customer to confirm the trouble (See HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING ).
- INSPECT COMMUNICATION FUNCTION OF MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (BEAN)
- Use Techstream to check for normal function of the multiplex communication system.
- (ECU unconnected, communication line malfunctioning) Without code output, proceed to A.
- (ECU unconnected, communication line malfunctioning) With code output, proceed to B.
B: Go To MULTIPLEX COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A: Go to Next Step
- Use Techstream to check for normal function of the multiplex communication system.
- SYMPTOM SIMULATION
- PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
- If the fault is not listed on the problem symptoms table, proceed to A.
- If the fault is listed on the problem symptoms table, proceed to B.
