Inspection Procedure

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position
3. Turn the Techstream on.
4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Active Test.
5. Check the operation by referring to the values in the table below.

   Combination Meter: 

   CONTROL RANGE CHART
   
   

   Tester Display	Test Part	Control Range	Diagnostic Note
   Power Meter Operation	Power meter gauge	Power meter gauge indicates 0, 50, 100, 150, 200 (kW)	Confirm that the vehicle is stopped, engine idling.

   OK: Needle indication is normal. 

NG: REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY 

OK: Go to next step. 

1. Disconnect the C9 and H29 connectors.
2. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance 

   STANDARD RESISTANCE
   
   

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   C9-8 (POWER METER) -H29-4 (PMET)	Always	Below 1 Ω
   C9-8 (POWER METER) - Body ground	Always	10 kΩ or higher

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

OK: Go to next step. 

1. Check the input signal waveform.
   1. Remove the combination meter assembly with connector still connected.

   2. Connect the oscilloscope to the terminals H29-4 (PMET) and body ground.
   3. Start the engine.
   4. Check the signal waveform according to he condition (s) in the table below.
      SIGNAL WAVEFORM CONDITION
      
      

      Item	Condition
      Tool setting	1 V/DIV., 2 μs/DIV.
      Vehicle condition	Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

OK: REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY 

NG:  GO TO HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM
