Inspection Procedure

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ST2 TERMINAL VOLTAGE)
- Disconnect the H29 connector from the HV control ECU.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below when the ignition switch is off.
Standard Voltage
ST2 TERMINAL VOLTAGETester Connection Specified Condition ST2 (H29-20) - Body ground Below 1 V
OK: Go to step 3
NG: GO TO NEXT STEP
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HV CONTROL ECU - IGNITION SWITCH)
- Turn the ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect the I14 ignition switch connector.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
HV CONTROL ECU - IGNITION SWITCHTester Connection Specified Condition ST2 (H29-20) or ST2 (I14-8) - Body ground Below 1 V
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: REPLACE IGNITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY
- CLEAR DTC (HV)
- Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
- Select the following menu items: DIAGNOSIS / OBD/ MOBD / HV ECU / DTC INFO / CLEAR CODES.
- RECONFIRM OUTPUT DTC (HV)
- Turn the ignition switch off.
- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position again and leave the vehicle as it is for approximately 5 seconds.
- Select the following menu items: DIAGNOSIS / OBD/ MOBD / HV ECU / DTC INFO / CURRENT CODES.
- Read output DTC. (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR
)
OK:
DTC P0617-142 is output again.
NO: CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS
YES: REPLACE HYBRID VEHICLE CONTROL ECU
