Instrument Panel Speaker: Removal

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    CAUTION: Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent the airbag working. (See AIRBAG SYSTEM )
  2. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  3. REMOVE CONSOLE PANEL UPPER FRONT  (See REMOVAL )
  4. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL LOWER  (See REMOVAL )
  5. REMOVE RADIO RECEIVER  (See REMOVAL  )
  6. REMOVE MULTI-DISPLAY  (See REMOVAL  )
  7. REMOVE NO. 1 SPEAKER HOLE COVER 
    1. Disengage the 4 clips.
    2. Remove the No.1 speaker hole cover by pushing it up from the under side of the instrument panel.

  8. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts.
    2. Disconnect the connector and front No.2 speaker.

  9. REMOVE FRONT PILLAR GARNISH (for Driver Side)  (See REMOVAL )
  10. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL SPEAKER PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Driver Side) 
    1. Disengage the 2 clips and the 2 claws.
    2. Remove the No.1 instrument panel speaker subassembly

  11. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER (for Driver Side) 
    1. Remove the 2 bolts and the front No.2 speaker.
    2. Disconnect the connector.
