Installation

3UR-FE ENGINE MECHANICAL: FRONT CRANKSHAFT OIL SEAL: INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL FRONT CRANKSHAFT OIL SEAL
(a) Apply MP grease to the lip of a new oil seal.






(b) Using SST and a hammer, tap in the oil seal to a depth between 0 and 1.0 mm (0 and 0.0394 in.) from the timing chain cover edge.
SST: 09223-22010
SST: 09506-35010
NOTICE:

- Keep the lip free from foreign matter.
- Do not tap the oil seal at an angle.


2. INSTALL CRANKSHAFT TIMING GEAR KEY






(a) Install the crankshaft timing gear key.
3. INSTALL CRANKSHAFT PULLEY [1][2]Installation

4. INSTALL OIL FILTER BRACKET (w/ Oil Cooler) Installation

5. INSTALL NO. 1 OIL COOLER BRACKET (w/ Oil Cooler) Installation

6. CONNECT NO. 2 WATER BY-PASS PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Oil Cooler)






(a) Connect the 2 water by-pass hoses to the oil cooler.
(b) Install the 3 by-pass pipe bolts.
Torque: 10 Nm (102 kgf-cm, 7 ft-lbf)
7. CONNECT COOLER COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Oil Cooler) [1][2]Installation

8. INSTALL OIL FILTER BRACKET (w/o Oil Cooler) [1][2]Installation

9. INSTALL OIL PRESSURE SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY Installation

10. INSTALL FAN SHROUD Installation

11. INSTALL NO. 1 RADIATOR HOSE
12. ADD ENGINE COOLANT Service and Repair

13. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK Testing and Inspection

14. INSPECT FOR OIL LEAK Replacement

15. INSPECT ENGINE OIL LEVEL Testing and Inspection

16. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

17. INSTALL FRONT FENDER SPLASH SHIELD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH Installation

18. INSTALL FRONT FENDER SPLASH SHIELD SUB-ASSEMBLY RH Installation

19. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY Installation

20. INSTALL UPPER RADIATOR SUPPORT SEAL Installation

21. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH Installation

22. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH Installation
