DTC 3-1 - GPS Antenna Error

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when one of the following occurs: 1) the telephone ECU assembly is malfunctioning; 2) the telephone antenna (GPS antenna) is malfunctioning; or 3) the antenna cord is malfunctioning.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. INSPECT ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY





(a) Disconnect the antenna cord connector from the ECU.
(b) Disconnect the antenna cord connector from the telephone antenna.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:






NG -- REPLACE ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY THEN CLEAR HISTORIC DTC
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK TELEPHONE ECU ASSEMBLY (OPERATION)
(a) Temporarily replace the telephone ECU assembly and mayday battery with a new one Removal.
(b) Check for the current DTC again Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
OK:
System operates normally (red LED off).
NG:
Current DTC 3-1 is output.
NG -- REPLACE TELEPHONE ANTENNA ASSEMBLY (GPS ANTENNA) THEN CLEAR HISTORIC DTC
OK -- END (TELEPHONE ECU ASSEMBLY IS FAULTY; PERFORM REGISTRATION)
