DTC B14F0 - Cushion Peltier Temperature Sensor Malfunction

DESCRIPTION

Outputs from the seat climate control controller stop if one of the following occurs: 1) the temperature sensor of the seat climate control controller is open or shorted; or 2) the temperature sensor is damaged and its output value does not change.

1. CHECK FOR DTC
(a) Check for DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

2. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (SEAT CUSHION TEMPERATURE SENSOR)
(a) Check the Data List for proper functioning of the temperature sensor.

OK:
The display is as specified in the normal condition.
NG -- INSPECT SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL CONTROLLER LH
OK -- REPLACE SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU
3. INSPECT SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL CONTROLLER LH





(a) Disconnect the c40 climate control controller connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:






NG -- REPLACE SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL CONTROLLER LH
OK -- Continue to next step.
4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU - SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL CONTROLLER LH)





(a) Disconnect the c38 ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the c40 climate control controller connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU
5. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (SEAT CUSHION TEMPERATURE SENSOR)
(a) Check the Data List for proper functioning of the temperature sensor.

OK:
The display is as specified in the normal condition.

OK -- REPLACE SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU
6. INSPECT SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL CONTROLLER RH





(a) Disconnect the c26 climate control controller connector.
(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:






NG -- REPLACE SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL CONTROLLER RH
OK -- Continue to next step.
7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU - SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL CONTROLLER RH)





(a) Disconnect the c24 ECU connector.
(b) Disconnect the c26 climate control controller connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance:






NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL ECU
