Inspection Procedure
- CHECK HARNESS AND TRANSMISSION WIRE (TRANSMISSION WIRE - TCM, TRANSMISSION WIRE (SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE SL))
- Disconnect the E6 TCM connector.
- Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.
Standard Resistance
RESISTANCE REFERENCETester Connection Condition Specified Condition E6-7 (SL) - Body ground Always 11 to 15 Ω
NG: Go to step 3
OK: Go to next step
- REPLACE TCM
- Replace the TCM (see REMOVAL ).
NEXT: PERFORM A/T CODE REGISTRATION (See REGISTRATION )
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TRANSMISSION WIRE - TCM)
- Disconnect the E50 transmission wire connector.
- Disconnect the E6 TCM connector.
- Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.
Standard Resistance
RESISTANCE REFERENCETester Connection Condition Specified Condition E50-7 (SL) - E6-7 (SL) Always Below 1 Ω E50-7 (SL) or E6-7 (SL) -Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- INSPECT SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE SL
- Remove the shift solenoid valve SL (see DISASSEMBLY ).
- Measure the resistance of the shift solenoid valve.
Standard Resistance
RESISTANCE REFERENCETester Connection Condition Specified Condition Shift solenoid valve SL connector - Shift solenoid valve SL Body 20°C (68°F) 11 to 15 Ω - Connect the battery's positive (+) lead to the terminal of the solenoid valve connector, and the negative (-) lead to the solenoid body. Then check that the valve moves and makes an operating noise.
OK: Valve moves and makes operating noise.
NG: REPLACE SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE SL (See DISASSEMBLY )
OK: REPAIR OR REPLACE TRANSMISSION WIRE (See REMOVAL )
