Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND TRANSMISSION WIRE (TRANSMISSION WIRE - TCM, TRANSMISSION WIRE (SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE SL))
    1. Disconnect the E6 TCM connector.
    2. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.

      Standard Resistance

    NG: Go to step  3

    OK: Go to next step

  2. REPLACE TCM
    1. Replace the TCM (see REMOVAL  ).

NEXT: PERFORM A/T CODE REGISTRATION  (See REGISTRATION  )

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TRANSMISSION WIRE - TCM)
    1. Disconnect the E50 transmission wire connector.
    2. Disconnect the E6 TCM connector.
    3. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

      Standard Resistance

      RESISTANCE REFERENCE

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E50-7 (SL) - E6-7 (SL) Always Below 1 Ω
E50-7 (SL) or E6-7 (SL) -Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK: Go to next step

  4. INSPECT SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE SL
    1. Remove the shift solenoid valve SL (see DISASSEMBLY  ).
    2. Measure the resistance of the shift solenoid valve.

      Standard Resistance

      RESISTANCE REFERENCE

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
Shift solenoid valve SL connector - Shift solenoid valve SL Body 20°C (68°F) 11 to 15 Ω
    3. Connect the battery's positive (+) lead to the terminal of the solenoid valve connector, and the negative (-) lead to the solenoid body. Then check that the valve moves and makes an operating noise.
