Front Passenger Airbag Assembly: Installation

INSTALL FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY
1. Engage the 5 hooks (A).
2. Engage the 5 hooks (B) and install the front passenger airbag on the instrument panel.

3. Install the 2 screws.

4. Connect the 2 connectors and install the instrument panel wire assembly to the front passenger airbag.
  NOTE: When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

INSTALL NO. 3 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT (See REASSEMBLY )
INSTALL DEFROSTER NOZZLE ASSEMBLY (See REASSEMBLY )
INSTALL SIDE NO. 1 DEFROSTER NOZZLE DUCT (See REASSEMBLY )
INSTALL SIDE NO. 2 DEFROSTER NOZZLE DUCT (See REASSEMBLY )
INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY
HINT:

Refer to the procedures from "INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY" (see INSTALLATION ).
CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
PERFORM INITIALIZATION
1. Perform initialization (see AIRBAG SYSTEM ).
  NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT
1. Check the SRS warning light (see DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM ).
