Navigation Antenna: Removal

  1. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH  (See REMOVAL )
  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    CAUTION: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.
    NOTE: After the engine switch is turned off, the HDD navigation system requires approximately 6 minutes to record various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, wait 6 minutes or more before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
  3. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the instrument panel safety pad (see REMOVAL ).
  4. REMOVE NO. 2 SIDE DEFROSTER NOZZLE DUCT  (See DISASSEMBLY )
  5. REMOVE DEFROSTER NOZZLE ASSEMBLY  (See DISASSEMBLY )
  6. REMOVE NO. 3 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT  (See DISASSEMBLY )
  7. REMOVE NAVIGATION ANTENNA ASSEMBLY (for DVD) 
    1. Detach the 4 clamps.
    2. Remove the 2 screws and antenna.

  8. REMOVE NAVIGATION ANTENNA ASSEMBLY (for HDD) 
    1. Detach the 2 clamps.
    2. Remove the 2 screws and antenna.
