COMPRESSOR AND MAGNETIC CLUTCH (for 2WD): Disassembly

  1. REMOVE MAGNETIC CLUTCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Place the compressor and magnetic clutch in a vise.
    2. Using vise pliers, hold the magnetic clutch hub.
    3. Remove the bolt, magnetic clutch hub and magnetic clutch washers.

      HINT:

      There is no set number of magnetic clutch washers since they are used for adjusting.

    4. Using a snap ring expander, remove the snap ring and magnetic clutch rotor.
      NOTE: Take care not to damage the seal cover of the bearing when removing the snap ring.
    5. Disconnect the connector.
    6. Remove the screw.

    7. Using a snap ring expander, remove the snap ring and magnetic clutch stator.
