Section 55 (Cooling (2GR-FSE)): Thermostat: Installation

INSTALL WATER INLET WITH THERMOSTAT SUB-ASSEMBLY
1. Install a new gasket and the water inlet with thermostat with the 3 nuts.
  Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf)

CONNECT RADIATOR OUTLET HOSE
1. Connect the radiator outlet hose to the radiator assembly and secure it with the clip.
  HINT:
  - Make sure that the claws on the clip are positioned as shown in the illustration.
  - Dimension "a" in the illustration (between the hose end and the clip end) should be less than 1.0 to 5.0 mm.
  - Connect the hose until it makes contact with the stopper. (Dimension "b" should be less than 2.5 mm)

ADD ENGINE COOLANT
START ENGINE
CHECK FOR ENGINE COOLANT LEAKS
INSTALL NO. 1 INLET AIR CLEANER (See INSTALLATION )
INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL (See INSTALLATION )
INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (See INSTALLATION )
