On-Vehicle Inspection

  1. INSPECT COOLING FAN RELAY 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      STANDARD RESISTANCE

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      3-5 10 MΩ or higher
      3-5 Below 1 Ω (when battery voltage is applied to terminals 1 and 2)

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  2. INSPECT NO. 2 COOLING FAN RELAY 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      STANDARD RESISTANCE

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      3-4 Below 1 Ω
      3-5 10 MΩ or higher
      3-5 Below 1 Ω (when battery voltage is applied to terminals 1 and 2)

      If the result is not as specified, replace the No.2 cooling fan relay.

  3. INSPECT NO. 3 COOLING FAN RELAY 
    1. Inspect the resistance of the relay.

      Standard resistance 

      STANDARD RESISTANCE

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      3-5 10 MΩ or higher
      3-5 Below 1 Ω (when battery voltage is applied to terminals 1 and 2)

      If the result is not as specified, replace the No.3 cooling fan relay.
