Inspection Procedure

NOTE: When the seat belt control ECU is replaced with a new one, Initialization must be performed (See INITIALIZATION ).

CHECK DTC OUTPUT (CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM)
1. Clear the DTC s (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR ).
2. Recheck for DTC s.
  OK: DTC U0151 is not output.
NG: GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (See HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING )

OK: Go to next Step
CHECK DTC OUTPUT (AIRBAG SYSTEM)
1. Clear the DTC s (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR )
2. Turn the engine switch off.
3. Turn the engine switch on (IG), and wait at least 60 seconds.
4. Recheck for DTC s.
  OK: DTC B1650 or B1655 is not output.
NG: GO TO AIRBAG SYSTEM (B1650, B1655) (See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART )

OK: Go to next Step
CHECK DTC OUTPUT (OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM)
1. Clear the DTC s (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR ).
2. Turn the engine switch off.
3. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
4. Recheck for DTC s
  OK: DTC B1771 is not output.
NG: GO TO OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM (B1771) (See DTC B1771 PASSENGER SIDE BUCKLE SWITCH CIRCUIT MALFUNCTION )

OK: Go to next Step
CHECK DTC OUTPUT (PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM)
HINT:

Before clearing the DTC B2063, first clear the DTC s of the occupant detection ECU, then clear the DTC s of the center airbag sensor assembly.
1. Clear the DTC s (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR ).
2. Recheck for DTC s.
  OK: DTC B2063 is not output.
NG: REPLACE SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU (See SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU )

OK: CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS (SYMPTOM SIMULATION) (See HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING )
