Inspection Procedure

NOTE: When the seat belt control ECU is replaced with a new one, Initialization must be performed (See INITIALIZATION ).

CHECK DTC OUTPUT (CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM)
1. Clear the DTC s (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR ).
2. Turn the cruise control main switch on
3. Drive the vehicle at a speed of 45 km/h (27 mph) or more.
4. Recheck for DTC s
  OK: DTC U0123 is not output.
NG: GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (See HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING )

OK: Go to next Step
CHECK DTC OUTPUT (VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM)
1. Clear the DTC s (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR ).
2. Turn the engine switch off
3. Start the engine.
4. Drive the vehicle at a speed of 30 km/h (18 mph) or more, turn the steering wheel, and decelerate the vehicle (depress the brake pedal).
5. Recheck for DTC s
  OK: DTC C1234 is not output.
NG: GO TO VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM (See DTC C0371/71 YAW RATE SENSOR (TEST MODE DTC); DTC C1234/34 YAW RATE SENSOR MALFUNCTION; DTC C1243/43 ACCELERATION SENSOR STUCK MALFUNCTION; DTC C1244/44 OPEN OR SHORT IN ACCELERATION SENSOR CIRCUIT; DTC C1245/45 ACCELERATION SENSOR OUTPUT MALFUNCTION; DTC C1279/79 ACCELERATION SENSOR OUTPUT VOLTAGE MALFUNCTION (TEST MODE DTC); DTC C1381/97 ACCELERATION SENSOR POWER SUPPLY VOLTAGE MALFUNCTION )

OK: Go to next Step
CHECK DTC OUTPUT (PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM)
1. Clear the DTC s (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR )
2. Recheck for DTC s.
  OK: DTC B2057 is not output.
NG: REPLACE SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU (See SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU )

OK: CHECK FOR INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS (SYMPTOM SIMULATION) (See HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING )
