Inspection Procedure

HINT.
After the inspection is completed, clear the DTCs
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (GPS ANTENNA - NAVIGATION ECU)
- Check that the GPS antenna cord is securely connected to the navigation ECU connector.
OK: The cord is securely connected.
NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK: Go to Next Step
- Check that the GPS antenna cord is securely connected to the navigation ECU connector.
- INSPECT GPS ANTENNA
- Disconnect the GPS antenna connector
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below
Standard Resistance
TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITIONTester Connection Condition Specified Condition 1 - 2 Always 50 to 500 Ω
NG: REPLACE GPS ANTENNA (See REMOVAL )
OK: Go to Next Step
- REPLACE NAVIGATION ECU
- Replace the navigation ECU with a known good one and check if the same problem occurs again.
- Clear the DTCs (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR ).
- Recheck for DTCs and check if the same trouble occurs again.
OK: Same problem does not occur.
NG: REPLACE GPS ANTENNA (See REMOVAL )
OK: END
- Replace the navigation ECU with a known good one and check if the same problem occurs again.
