Inspection Procedure

HINT.

After the inspection is completed, clear the DTCs

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (GPS ANTENNA - NAVIGATION ECU) 
    1. Check that the GPS antenna cord is securely connected to the navigation ECU connector.

      OK: The cord is securely connected. 

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to Next Step 

  2. INSPECT GPS ANTENNA 
    1. Disconnect the GPS antenna connector
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below

      Standard Resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1 - 2 Always 50 to 500 Ω

    NG: REPLACE GPS ANTENNA  (See REMOVAL  )

    OK: Go to Next Step 

  3. REPLACE NAVIGATION ECU 
    1. Replace the navigation ECU with a known good one and check if the same problem occurs again.
      1. Clear the DTCs (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR  ).
      2. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same trouble occurs again.

        OK: Same problem does not occur. 

    NG: REPLACE GPS ANTENNA  (See REMOVAL  )

    OK: END
