On-Vehicle Inspection
- INSPECT STEREO COMPONENT SPEAKER
HINT:
Remove interior parts so that the stereo component speaker can be seen
- Check the speaker installation.
OK: The speaker is securely installed.
If the result is not as specified, reinstall the stereo component speaker
- Visually check the speaker
OK: The cone paper of the speaker is not torn.
If the result is not as specified, replace the stereo component speaker.
- Speaker resistance check
- Disconnect the stereo component speaker connector
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.NOTE: The speaker should not be removed for checking.

Standard Resistance:
w/ Front Center Speaker
RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONTester Connection Condition Specified Condition 3-4 Always 7 to 8.6 Ω w/o Front Center Speaker
RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONTester Connection Condition Specified Condition 1-3 Always 1.6 to 2.4 Ω 2-4 Always 1.6 to 2.4 Ω If the result is not as specified, replace the stereo component speaker
- Check the speaker installation.
- INSPECT REAR STEREO COMPONENT SPEAKER (w/ Front Center Speaker)
HINT.
Remove interior parts so that the rear stereo component speaker can be seen
- Check the speaker installation.
OK: The speaker is securely installed.
If the result is not as specified, reinstall the rear stereo component speaker.
- Visually check the speaker
OK: The cone paper of the speaker is not torn.
If the result is not as specified, replace the rear stereo component speaker.
- Check the speaker installation.
