Toe Control Link: Inspection

- INSPECT TOE CONTROL LINK SUB-ASSEMBLY
- Secure the toe control link sub-assembly between aluminum plates in a viseNOTE: Do not overtighten the vise.
- Temporarily install the nut, and flip the ball joint stud back and forth 5 times as shown in the illustration.
- Use a torque wrench to turn the nut continuously at a rate of 3 to 5 seconds per turn Take the torque reading on the 5th turn
Torque: Turning torque
0.9 to 3.5 N*m (9.2 to 35 kgf*cm, 7.9 to 30 in.*lbf)
If the reading is not within the specified range, replace the toe control link sub-assembly with a new one
- Check the dust boot for cracks or grease leaks
- Secure the toe control link sub-assembly between aluminum plates in a vise
