Rear Drive Shaft Assembly: Inspection

  1. INSPECT REAR DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY 
    1. Check that there is no excessive play in the outboard joint.
    2. Check that the inboard joint slides smoothly in the thrust direction.
    3. Check that there is no excessive play in the radial directions of the inboard joint
    4. Check the boot for damage.

    5. Check whether the drive shaft dimensions are within the following specifications.

      HINT.

      The following table shows dimension (A) of the drive shaft.

    LH 675 9 mm (26 61 in)
    RH 721 9 mm (28 42 in)
