Spiral Cable: Inspection

  1. INSPECT SPIRAL CABLE 
    1. If there are any defects as mentioned below, replace the spiral cable with a new one

      Scratches, cracks, dents or chips on the connector or the spiral cable

    2. Inspect the spiral cable
      1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
        NOTE: To avoid breakage of the spiral cable, do not turn the spiral cable more than necessary.

        If the value is not within the specified range, replace the spiral cable.

        Standard Resistance

        2 5 rotations to the left
        2 5 rotations to the right

        k1-3-J24-10 (SDN) Center Below 1 Ω
        2 5 rotations to the left
        2 5 rotations to the right
        k1-4 - J24-11 (DIST) Center Below 1 Ω
        2 5 rotations to the left
        2 5 rotations to the right
        k1-5- J24-12 (IL+2) Center Below 1 Ω
        2 5 rotations to the left
        2 5 rotations to the right
        k1-6 - J24-2 (ECC) Center Below 1 Ω
        2 5 rotations to the left
        2 5 rotations to the right
        k1-7- J24-3 (DISP) Center Below 1 Ω
        2 5 rotations to the left
