Occupant Classification Ecu: Removal

  1. PRECAUTION 
    CAUTION: Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing (See PRECAUTION  ).
    NOTE: When replacing the occupant classification ECU, perform registration (See REGISTRATION  ).
  2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY RH 
  3. REMOVE FRONT OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side (See REMOVAL ).

  4. REMOVE FRONT INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side (See REMOVAL ).

  5. REMOVE REAR OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side (See REMOVAL ).

  6. REMOVE REAR INNER SEAT TRACK BRACKET COVER RH 

    HINT

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side (See REMOVAL )

  7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedure for the RH side and the LH side (See REMOVAL ).

  8. REMOVE OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU 
    1. Disconnect the connector from the occupant classification ECU
      NOTE: When disconnecting the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
    2. Remove the 2 nuts and occupant classification ECU
