On-Vehicle Inspection

INSPECT DRIVER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (VEHICLE NOT INVOLVED IN COLLISION)
1. Perform a diagnostic system check (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR )
2. With the driver side knee airbag assembly installed on the vehicle, perform a visual check If there are any following defects, replace the driver side knee airbag assembly with a new one
  Cuts, minute cracks or marked discoloration on the driver side knee airbag assembly

INSPECT DRIVER SIDE KNEE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY (VEHICLE INVOLVED IN COLLISION AND AIRBAG HAS NOT DEPLOYED)
1. Perform a diagnostic system check (See DTC CHECK / CLEAR )
2. With the driver side knee airbag assembly removed from the vehicle, perform a visual check If there are any following defects, replace the driver side knee airbag assembly with a new one
  - Cuts, minute cracks or marked discoloration on the driver side knee airbag assembly
  - Cracks or other damage to the connector
  - Deformation or cracks on the instrument panel reinforcement
    CAUTION: Be sure to follow the correct removal and installation procedures of the driver side knee airbag assembly.
