On-Vehicle Inspection

  1. INSPECT A/C PRESSURE SENSOR 
    1. Install the manifold gauge set.
    2. Disconnect the connector from the A/C pressure sensor.
    3. Connect three 1.5 V dry cell battery positive (+) lead to terminal 3 and a negative (-) lead to terminal 1.
    4. Connect a voltmeter positive (+) lead to terminal 2 and a negative (-) lead to terminal 1
    5. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage 

      STANDARD VOLTAGE SPECIFICATIONS

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      2 (PR) -1 (-) Refrigerant pressure: 0.39 to 3.187 MPa (57 to 463 psi) 1.0 to 4.8 V

      If the voltage is not as specified, replace the liquid tube sub-assembly (A/C pressure sensor)
