FUEL PRESSURE PULSATION DAMPER (for Port Injection): Installation

  1. INSTALL FUEL PRESSURE PULSATION DAMPER ASSEMBLY (for Port Injection) 
    1. Temporarily install the 2 fuel pressure pulsation damper assemblies together with 4 new gaskets and the fuel tube sub-assembly
    2. Using SST, tighten the 2 fuel pressure pulsation damper assemblies

      SST 09612-24014 (09617-24011) 

      Torque: without SST 

      40 N*m (408 kgf*cm, 30 ft.*lbf) 

      with SST 

      35 N*m (357 kgf*cm, 26 ft.*lbf) 

      HINT.

      • Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 30 cm (11.81 in).
      • Make sure that SST and the wrench are connected in a straight line.

    3. Install the wire harness with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf) 

    4. Connect the 4 connectors

    5. Install the wire harness with the 2 bolts

      Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf)

    6. Connect the 4 connectors
  2. INSTALL NO. 3 FUEL HOSE  (See INSTALLATION )
  3. INSTALL WATER BY-PASS PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
  4. INSTALL NO. 1 VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
  5. CONNECT ENGINE WIRE  (See INSTALLATION )
  6. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
  7. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
  8. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET  (See INSTALLATION )
  9. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (See INITIALIZATION ).
  10. ADD ENGINE COOLANT  (See WATER PUMP )
  11. INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK  (See COOLING SYSTEM )
  12. INSPECT FOR FUEL LEAK  (See ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION )
  13. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER LH  (See ENGINE UNIT )
  14. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER RH  (See ENGINE UNIT )
  15. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL  (See ENGINE UNIT )
  16. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See ENGINE UNIT )
  17. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER
