Inspection Procedure

CHECK DTC OUTPUT (IN ADDITION TO DTC P0771, P0776, P0796 AND P2714)

Connect the Techstream to the DLC3
Turn the engine switch on (IG).
Turn the Techstream on
Enter the following menus Powertrain / ECT / Trouble Codes.

Read the DTCs using the Techstream

Result

RESULT REFERENCE

Display (DTC output)	Proceed to
Only P0771, P0776 and P2714 are output	A
Only P0771, P0796 and P2714 are output	B
P0771, P0796, P2714, and other DTCs are output	C

HINT

If any other codes besides P0771, P0776, P0796 and P2714 are output, perform troubleshooting for those DTCs first

B: GO TO DTC P0796 FLOWCHART (See DTC P0796 PRESSURE CONTROL SOLENOID "C" PERFORMANCE (SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE SL3) )

C: GO TO DTC CHART (See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART )

A: GO TO DTC P0776 FLOWCHART (See DTC P0776 PRESSURE CONTROL SOLENOID "B" PERFORMANCE (SHIFT SOLENOID VALVE SL2) )
