Inspection Procedure

  1. CHECK ECM (FRP VOLTAGE) 
    1. Measure the voltage according to the value (s) in the table below.

      Standard voltage 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      FPR (A5-15) - E1 (E4-7) STA signal ON 9 to 14 V
      FPR (A5-15) - E1 (E4-7) STA signal OFF 0 to 3 V

    NG: REPLACE ECM 

    OK: Go to next step. 

  2. INSPECT RELAY (Marking: F/PMP) 
    1. Remove the F/PMP relay from the engine room R/B No. 2.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      3 - 4 Below 1 Ω
      3 - 4 10 kΩ or more (when battery voltage is applied to terminals 1 and 2)

    NG: REPLACE RELAY 

    OK: Go to next step. 

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (F/PMP RELAY - ECM) 
    1. Remove the F/PMP relay from the engine room R/B No. 2.
    2. Disconnect the A5 ECM connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance 

      TESTER CONNECTION SPECIFIED CONDITION CHART

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      F/PMP relay terminal 2 - FPR (A5-15) Below 1 Ω
      F/PMP relay terminal 2 or FPR (A5-15) - Body Ground 10 kΩ or higher

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: REPLACE ECM
