Section 16 (Emission Control): Canister: Removal

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    NOTE: When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (See INITIALIZATION ).
  2. REMOVE NO. 1 FLOOR UNDER COVER 
    1. Remove the 3 nuts, 6 clips and No. 1 floor under cover.

  3. REMOVE CHARCOAL CANISTER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the wire harness from the 2 clamps

    2. Disconnect the 2 quick connectors, hose and connector.

    3. Remove the 4 nuts and charcoal canister assembly.
