Rear Crankshaft Oil Seal: Removal

  1. REMOVE AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION ASSEMBLY 

    See REMOVAL

  2. REMOVE DRIVE PLATE AND RING GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY  (See REMOVAL )
  3. REMOVE ENGINE REAR OIL SEAL 
    1. Using a knife, cut through the oil seal lip
    2. Using a screwdriver with its tip taped, pry out the oil seal
      NOTE: After removal, check the crankshaft for damage. If it is damaged, smooth the surface with 400-grit sandpaper.
